A fine piece, this, by Peter Wilby, reviewing a book by Tom Watson and Martin Hickman entitled Dial M for Murdoch. It came out a couple of days ago and purports to be an expose of the inner workings of News Corp as it struggled and failed to contain the phone hacking scandal.
We shall look forward to perusing a copy and deciding, in the light of its revelations, whether the phone hacking scandal is, as Mr Wilby asserts, “bigger than Watergate”. Certainly, it is increasingly difficult to see survivors emerging once the dust has settled – David Cameron included.
