NHS sued for cancer misdiagnosis

What would you do if you were diagnosed with cancer? Quite possibly, you might “do a Collins” – cash in your pension, buy a large motorbike (like the one pictured here, courtesy of stonefaction) and spend your life savings enjoying your last six months on earth.
But what if you were then told the diagnosis was wrong? Would you (a) celebrate or (b) consult your lawyers?
Mr Collins opted for (b), presumably hoping for a windfall by which to implement (a). As the Times reports, the 61-year-old has begun legal proceedings against the NHS, presumably for negligence. It strikes us that his claim has merit, and we trust that the NHS doesn’t drag its feet in reaching a settlement.
